Food and nutrition are a powerful method for supporting the body while fending off illness. When it comes to supporting the immune system, our diet needs to get more attention! The majority of our immune system lives in our intestines, so why not consume the most healthy foods we possibly can?
How to get a natural immune boost:
1. See the rainbow, taste the rainbow... but seriously! Try to eat the rainbow every day. Choose bright colorful foods. They are packed with antioxidants and vitamins and minerals we need to have a robust immune system.
2. Leafy greens are particularly good for our bodies. They contain fiber, lots of minerals and are a big boost for our eyes, skin and immune system!
3. Choose whole foods over processed foods as often as possible. Processed foods come in packages/boxes. If you must choose processed foods, take a good look at the ingredients listed on the package and ask yourself, 'Would this be helpful to my body?'
